Give The Gift of Health

I can't think of a better gift to give than the gift of health. Giving health means giving someone longevity, happiness, energy, accomplishment and well-being from the inside out. This holiday season I've compiled a list of my all-time favorites that keep me happy and healthy. It was hard to narrow down the items, so I picked 7 gifts that were:

  1. Under $100 dollars {after all, Christmas is more than just a price tag}
  2. Something that could be used daily {no one likes to give a gift that never gets touched}
  3. Easy to use {lets just keep it simple!}
  4. Items that people WANT but are not NECESSITIES {if people need something, they'll buy it themselves. Get them something they want but are hesitant to splurge on.}

Blender

Anyone driving down the road to health needs a blender. There's no better way to start the day than with a cup of greens that tastes like candy {orrrr close enough}. Not only can you use this blender for smoothies, but try homemade salad dressings, pasta sauces, salsa and more. This blender is the bridge between store bought and homemade!

Aside from my french press, the Ninja Blender is my most utilized kitchen gadget. I start every day with a smoothie and end it making some sort of homemade sauce. If I wasn't a coffee addict, it'd be a close first.

Step Counter

We all know the worlds needs to MOVE more. Encourage motivation to those who aren't necessarily gung-ho on working out, but are interested in being healthier. Increasing MOVEMENT is one step in the right direction.

Fit Bit Charge is easy to use, monitors steps, heart rate, sleep and you can spice it up with a cute accessory band for every day wear!

Book

Sometimes a good read brings us just the motivation we need to get off to the right start. Evolve your thoughts into, "What is this food doing for my body?". Too often we eat out of habit, taste, stress, social events, etc. Find balance between eating for fun and eating for fuel.

Whole is an eye-opening, paradigm-changing journey through cutting-edge thinking on nutrition, a scientific tour de force with powerful implications for our health and for our world.

Water Bottle

Who loves lukewarm water?? Anyone?? Didn't think so. Ice cold water ALL DAY LONG. Promotes drinking water and actually LIKING it.

If not for ice cold water, then at least for HOT coffee? The Yeti was the best gift I've ever gotten that I never knew I wanted or needed!

Diffuser

Are you or someone you know on the essential oil bandwagon? I am! If anything else, the house smells like you're stepping into the spa. Who doesn't want to come home to the essence of relaxation and pure bliss?

I can't be positive behind the science of essential oils and health but what's the harm in trying? If it's all a hoax, the placebo effect is working wonders. I'm feeling cool, calm and collected with eucalyptus and lavender seeping through the air as I type. Buy the Diffuser as a "big" gift and essential oils make the perfect stocking stuffer!

Lunch Box

If I could give any advice on how to transition into a healthier lifestyle or losing weight it would be this: TAKE YOUR LUNCH TO WORK. Simply avoiding eating out every day could make a HUGE dent in your weight and take you leaps and bounds closer to health.

Take it from someone who's been around the block when it comes to lunch pales. Not all are created equal. This innovator lunch box though, it's the kind you run circles around the block with over and over and over again. It fits EVERY THING, has easy access to all items and comes with special ice packs and containers.

Herb Garden Kit

Have you ever tried to keep a basil plant alive? It's harder than one would think. This herb garden kit provides step-by-step instructions, seeds for a variety of herbs and cute holder for you're first herb garden! For the rookie-wanna-be-gardener this would make the perfect gift!
