I hope everyone is keeping up with the smoothie-a-day challenge! This week we're slurping down a beautiful hue of blue-green and it tastes as fantastic as it looks. 

A little more fruit, a little less vegetable but the fruit I'm highlighting is a powerhouse and I'll take a little more sugar for it's many benefits. 

Who doesn't love blueberries?

  • Low in calories, way high in nutrients!
  • Blueberries are known to have the highest antioxidant capacity among ALL fruits and vegetables.
  • They protect against free radicals {molecules that damage cells and promote aging and cancer}.
  • Blueberries reduce the risk of heart disease by reducing the oxidation of LDL.
  • Improve neuron signaling which helps with brain health and improving memory.

The list could go on, but trust me... you want these in your smoothie!

Time: 5 minutes with clean-up


Assuming you know to peel the banana, put all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. 

Drink right away or put it in a blender bottle and save for a mid-morning snack {like me!}.


Does anyone else get sad when they see the bottom of their cup as they tip the glass as far as it will go so they can get every single last drop?
