GRE-ORGEOUS

If BEET-IFUL was too "healthy" for you, don't fret. I'm breaking it up this week with a sweet, loved-by-all, tip-the-glass-as far-as-possible-to-get-the-last-drop smoothie.

Who doesn't feel good about drinking something green? And to have it taste good too... You can't go wrong.

This smoothie I'm featuring SPINACH.

Why?

Popeye.

When faced with the fear of danger, Popeye popped some spinach and wa-lah!, big muscles and the strength to fight off enemies. Okay, so maybe you're muscles won't double in size at the sight of spinach and you won't literally win any fights, but spinach is packed with protein and vitamins that will help you grow {as well as stay slim} and it gives your immune system the strength it needs to fight off invaders. Popeye had the right idea.

  • Packed with vitamins A, C, E and K. As well as vitamin B6, thiamin, calcium, folate and more!
  • Minerals zinc and niacin.
  • Protein. It did, in fact, grow Popeye's muscles.

Directions:

  1. These directions are hard to follow but do your best.
  2. Blend in blender on high until smooth.
  3. Done.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Handfuls of Spinach
  • 1/2 Cucumber
  • 1 Banana
  • 1/2 Avocado
  • Vanilla Protein Powder {I use Sunwarrior}
  • 1 Cup Almond Milk
  • Ice

Read my post on What's In Your Protein to find out how and what kind you should buy. My personal rules with protein are: zero sugars, vegan, essential amino acids, ingredients I can pronounce and obviously I prefer it to taste good! I've done my research and have found Sunwarrior to work best for ME. Keep them in mind on your quest to find the best protein powder for YOU!

Here's a round up of the best blenders I've experienced! Ninja is my favorite, because it works REALLY well, and it's affordable! Clicking on any of the photos will take you directly to amazon where they are for sale. I am not sponsored by any of these products but do earn a small commission {that goes towards supporting this blog!} in the event you click on any of these links and make a purchase.

Personal opinion: Ninja is equally as good as Blendtec and Vitamix for a fraction of the price.
